Corporate Area water storage levels still low, despite recent rains

The recent rainfall that brought some relief to the Corporate Area’s water supply has not stopped the pressure on two of the National Water Commission’s main storage facilities.

The latest NWC figures show the Mona Reservoir at 41.8 per cent capacity, holding 338 million gallons.

Hermitage Dam is at 38 per cent, with 149.7 million gallons stored.

The latest figures come after both facilities recorded increases last week following rainfall.

But the latest readings show a mixed picture, with Mona losing 5.6 million gallons, while Hermitage gained 5.8 million gallons.

The NWC continues to urge customers to conserve water.
