The Area Four Police says it will be intensifying its crackdown on illegal guns after the police fatal shooting of a man and the recovery of four firearms during a series of operations across its divisions.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Michael Phipps, Commanding Officer for Area Four, said the recoveries were made across the divisions of Kingston Western, Kingston Central and Kingston Eastern.
ACP Phipps said, in the Kingston Eastern incident, in which a man was fatally shot, the man is reported to have confronted the lawmen earlier that same day.
