Football’s biggest event, the FIFA World Cup, will be brought directly to local screens, as Television Jamaica (TVJ), has been confirmed as the exclusive free to air broadcast home. Viewers can expect comprehensive coverage, live matches, and in-depth analysis throughout the tournament.
This summer’s edition of the World Cup, will be the biggest and most exciting edition of the tournament to date, as 48 teams from around the globe compete in 104 matches.
The global showpiece which is set to kick off on Thursday, June 11, will feature 12 groups of 4 teams each. The opening match will feature co-hosts Mexico and South Africa at the Mexico City Stadium.
The final of the tournament is set for Sunday, July 19 at the New Jersey Stadium. Matches will be live on TVJ and FAME 95 FM, as well as 1spotmedia.com in Jamaica only.
