GraceKennedy Foods recalling specific batches of Grace Tropical Rhythms Fruit Punch

GraceKennedy Foods is voluntarily recalling specific batches of its Grace Tropical Rhythms Fruit Punch one-litre product in Jamaica and six other Caribbean markets.

The recall applies to products bearing either of two best-before codes: July 21, 2027, L6, or July 22, 2027, L6.

The affected products were distributed in Jamaica, Barbados, Saint Lucia, Trinidad & Tobago, Guyana, Turks & Caicos Islands, and St Maarten.

GraceKennedy says the recall is limited to the identified batches and markets and does not affect other batches of Tropical Rhythms Fruit Punch or products distributed elsewhere.

The company says the matter is considered a product-quality issue and not a food-safety concern. It says no adverse health effects are expected from consuming the affected product, and no reports of illness or other adverse health effects have been received.

Consumers with the affected product are being advised not to consume it, but to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund or replacement.

GraceKennedy says it is working with distributors and retailers to remove the affected products from the market.
