Six people have been killed and several others injured in a shooting at a youth welfare facility in northern Germany.
Police say the shooting occurred on Monday in the town of Stade, at a facility that provides temporary accommodation for pregnant women and young mothers with children.
Five people, including four women and one man, died at the scene. A sixth victim later succumbed to injuries at hospital.
Authorities say several other people were wounded, some seriously, but have not released details on the identities of the victims.
Police have arrested the suspected gunman.
