Water levels at the two major storage facilities serving the Corporate Area remain critically low, as drought conditions continue to affect large sections of Jamaica.
The latest verified figures from the National Water Commission (NWC) put the Hermitage Dam at 31.4 per cent of capacity, down from 37.9 per cent a week earlier.
Mona Reservoir has also fallen below the half-way mark, standing at 48.4 per cent of its 808 million-gallon capacity.
The decline comes amid worsening drought conditions, high temperatures and reduced inflows into the facilities.
The situation has prompted the NWC to implement water supply restrictions across several communities in Kingston and St. Andrew.
A prohibition order also remains in effect, restricting the use of NWC-supplied water for several non-essential activities.
Consumers are being urged to conserve water as the dry conditions persist.
