72 rounds of ammunition found at premises in St Andrew

The police have launched an investigation following the discovery of a large cache of ammunition at a premises in Coopers Hill, Red Hills, St Andrew, on Sunday.

The premises was reportedly once occupied by a security company.

Police reported that at about 1:05 p.m., a security guard discovered 72 rounds of assorted ammunition at the premises and subsequently handed them over to the Red Hills police.

The Constant Spring Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) is investigating.
