St Ann Municipal Corporation pleased with outcome of Reggae Sumfest

The St Ann Municipal Corporation is expressing satisfaction with the measures put in place to ensure the smooth staging of Reggae Sumfest.

Several measures were implemented to mitigate the usual traffic snarl and safety of patrons

Chairman of the St Ann Municipal Corporation and Mayor of St Ann’s Bay Michael Belnavis says the measures bore fruit, in large measure.

He told Radio Jamaica News that the success of this year’s staging of the music festival was “tremendous accomplishment, compared to other shows that we’ve had in the past,” especially given the number of patrons who turned out this year – about thirty thousand people.

“There were no incidences (sic) that was reported and so we need to thank the constabulary force who did such a fantastic job,” he added.
