Several cops under investigation for gun salute at colleague’s nine night

Several police officers in St. Catherine are under investigation after they were seen in a video carrying out a gun salute at the nine night of one of their colleagues on Tuesday. 

The officers reportedly fired several rounds at the Ewarton home of Constable Shanki Gordon, who died on June 1 following a motorcycle crash in St. Catherine. 

In the video obtained by Radio Jamaica News, a group of men was seen firing a barrage of shots into the air. 

It is understood that police officers were a part of the group. 

A police constable, who was identified among the group, had his firearm taken on Thursday and was placed on interdiction.
