The National Housing Trust (NHT) says it has become aware of several fraudulent social media accounts appearing to represent the organisation and advertising its housing solutions for sale.
The trust is urging members of the public to remain vigilant and exercise caution when engaging with these accounts.
It says it is actively monitoring the situation and working through the appropriate channels to address the unauthorised use of its name and branding.
The NHT is reminding that housing solutions are not sold through social media platforms, and the allocation of NHT housing developments is governed by established policies and procedures and eligible contributors must
apply through its official application process.
Online users are being encouraged to immediately report social media accounts or advertisements claiming to offer NHT houses for sale.
