Former Miss Universe Jamaica Dr. Gabrielle Henry has filed a lawsuit against the Miss Universe Organization and two of its parent companies JKN Legacy and Legacy Holding Group USA, over injuries she suffered after falling from the pageant stage in Thailand last year.
The lawsuit was filed Monday in Delaware Superior Court and includes claims of negligence, premises liability and emotional distress.
Dr. Henry alleges she was following rehearsed choreography during the preliminary competition on November 19, 2025, when she fell about five feet through an unmarked and uncovered opening in the stage.
She says she lost consciousness and suffered serious head injuries, requiring hospitalisation from November 19 to December 10.
Dr. Henry also alleges intense stage lighting impaired her visibility.
The complaint states that the event was the most traumatic moment of Dr. Henry’s life.
The Miss Universe Organization says it has not been served with, or received, any lawsuit or claim from Henry or anyone acting on her behalf
