Bodies of two men found in burnt-out vehicle in Clarendon

The police in Clarendon are investigating the deaths of two men whose charred remains were discovered inside a burnt-out motor vehicle in Bull Head Mountain, Reckford, during the early hours of Saturday.

The deceased have been identified as 25-year-old farmer Daniel Thomas and 22-year-old Tyrone Thompson, otherwise called ‘Baba’, both of Good Hope district in the parish.

Reports are that about 2:15 a.m. on Saturday, the charred remains of both men were found inside a grey Nissan Caravan motor vehicle that had been destroyed by fire.

The police said the vehicle also bore what appeared to be gunshot damage to the front passenger door and the rear left sliding door.

The bodies were taken to hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the deaths are ongoing.
