The Jamaica Constabulary Force has conducted a body-worn camera training session for batches of police trainees at the National Police College of Jamaica.
The training was conducted over three days starting Friday, October 3.
In a social media post on Tuesday, the JCF said the workshop was designed not only to provide officers with the technical skills required to effectively operate the cameras, but to promote accountability, transparency and trust in modern policing.
The JCF says it is committed to continuous learning, progressive leadership and meaningful change.
Recently, the police told the public that the procurement of a 1,000 body-worn cameras was completed and that the devices would arrive in the coming weeks.
